[Alumnus Ilhan Ham] H Energy Surpasses KRW 100 Billion in Revenue Just Six Years After Founding, Named a Fast-Growing “Billion-Won Venture Company”
The renewable-energy platform company H Energy (CEO Ilhan Ham) has surpassed KRW 100 billion in revenue just six years after its founding, earning a place among Korea’s “Billion-Won Venture Companies.” This achievement marks an exceptionally rapid ascent—more than three times faster than the national average of 18 years for companies to reach the same milestone.
On January 27, H Energy was officially named a “2025 New Billion-Won Venture Company” at a ceremony hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and organized by the Korea Venture Business Association. The designation is awarded to companies that have previously received venture certification and have recorded annual revenue exceeding KRW 100 billion as of 2024—an indicator of outstanding technological innovation and business growth. In its 2024 financial results, H Energy reported KRW 102.3 billion in revenue and KRW 14.8 billion in operating profit, underscoring its solid performance.
Leveraging AI- and data-driven control systems, the company has enhanced its power-generation forecasting technology and maximized operational efficiency, helping clients increase energy-generation revenue and strengthening its foothold in the electricity market. CEO Ilhan Ham remarked, “Reaching KRW 100 billion in revenue in only six years—far faster than the industry average—was made possible by our team’s willingness to embrace challenges and pursue constant innovation.
This recognition reflects not only our rapid growth but also our emergence as a key player in the next-generation energy industry.” According to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, as of September 2025, the total number of Billion-Won Venture Companies stands at 985, an 8.5% increase from the previous year. Among them, 115 firms, including H Energy, newly joined the list in 2025. Additionally, 81 companies recorded average annual revenue growth of over 20% for the past three years.
H Energy has steadily expanded its presence through its cooperative-platform investment service MoHat, along with subscription-based solutions such as Solar On-Care and ESS On-Care, which are built on advanced forecasting and control technologies. Most recently, the company has accelerated its SolarShare Baro initiative, which provides cost-effective solar power to industrial parks and corporate clients—further solidifying its leadership in the renewable-energy sector.
