Jungtaek Hong, a student in the Department of Mathematics (Class of 2020), was honored with the Chairman's Award for being the top student in the science division at the 2023 graduation ceremony. He completed his undergraduate studies one semester early and has been enrolled in the integrated master's and Ph.D. program in the Department of Mathematics (supervised by Professor Sungmoon Cho) since September 2023. Before starting graduate school, he passed the doctoral qualifying examination (General QE) held in July.
