Dr. Gyounghun Ko from the Department of Mathematics (Class of 2018, supervised by Professor Dong-Hyun Lee) received the Outstanding Dissertation Award at the Department of Mathematics' independent graduation ceremony for the 2023 academic year. His dissertation is titled "A Study on the Global Stability of Equations of Motion with Large Amplitude Initial Data."

This award is given to the graduate student who presents the most outstanding doctoral dissertation among the PhD graduates of the Department of Mathematics. It aims to encourage research activities and promote the submission of excellent papers. The award includes a plaque containing 11.25 grams of pure gold.
