KIM MINJOON and kim hyeon seong, undergraduate students in the Department of Mathematics (Class of 2023), were awarded the Bronze Prize in [Category 1] at the 42nd College Mathematics Competition.

The 42nd College Mathematics Competition, hosted by the Korean Mathematical Society, was held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, lasting approximately 150 minutes.

The competition covered topics from the first- and second-year undergraduate mathematics curriculum.

The Grand Prize included a certificate and a cash award of 1 million KRW, while the Gold Prize included 200,000 KRW, and the Silver Prize included 100,000 KRW.

The Department of Mathematics at POSTECH provides financial support for participants, covering registration fees, transportation, and other participation costs. We encourage students interested in mathematics to actively participate in future College Mathematics Competitions.
