2026 Summer STEM Department Exploration Mathematics Visit

On July 23–24, 2026, the POSTECH Department of Mathematics hosted the "2026 Summer STEM Department Exploration" departmental visit program.

The program invites second-year high school students from across the country to visit POSTECH departments and explore potential academic paths. 

A total of 17 students visited the Department of Mathematics over two days, attending an introductory lecture by Professor Younghwan Son and a Q&A session with Professors Younghwan Son and Bogwang Jeon. 

Students had the opportunity to hear firsthand about academic life and research in mathematics, and to ask questions freely in an open and welcoming setting. 

The Department of Mathematics looks forward to continuing to create opportunities to connect with and inspire the next generation.
