[Department News] MSUS Departmental Exploration – Visit to the Department of Mathematics

On Friday, May 22, 2026, students enrolled in the Mueunjae School of Undergraduate Studies (MSUS101: Departmental Exploration) visited the Department of Mathematics to participate in a departmental visit activity.
The visit was designed to give students a firsthand look at the department's core structure and campus life before declaring their major. The program consisted of two parts: an introduction to the department's academic and research structure led by faculty, and a guide to student life and career paths presented by current undergraduate students.
Participants explored the department's diverse research areas and curriculum — including analysis, algebra, geometry, topology, and applied mathematics — and had the opportunity to broaden their understanding of the department through a Q&A session with senior students.
Departmental visit activities have been taking place sequentially since the midterm examination period. The schedule for this semester will conclude with a visit to the Department of Industrial and Management Engineering on May 29.
