Professor Minsung Kim has begun his research and teaching activities in the Department of Mathematics at POSTECH.

 On February 16, 2026, Professor Minsung Kim joined the POSTECH Department of Mathematics as a researcher in the field of Dynamical Systems.

 Professor Kim received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland College Park. Following his doctoral studies, he has been actively engaged in research at several leading research institutions in Europe. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, and also conducted research as a visiting scholar at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy, and as a postdoctoral researcher at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Poland, gaining extensive international research experience.

 Professor Kim’s research focuses on Dynamical Systems, a field that studies the evolution and structural behavior of mathematical systems over time. Drawing on his diverse international research experiences, he is expected to contribute significantly to advancing research in this area.
