2025 Fall Semester Freshman Research Participation Poster Presentation was held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the first-floor lobby of the Mathematical Sciences Building, near Room 104. The Freshman Research Participation Program is designed to provide students in the Mu-Eun-Jae College with opportunities to explore academic fields through hands-on research experience. This semester, six students—Yian Kim, Taewan Kim, Junyoung Park, Yunseob Shin, Siwon Lee, and Jeongwoo Cha—took part in the program.

The event was moderated by Professor Younghwan Son, Chair of the Undergraduate Committee, adding further significance to the occasion. All six first-year students conducted research on a variety of topics within mathematics laboratories and presented the outcomes of their semester-long research during the poster session.

In addition to undergraduate students, graduate students and administrative staff from the Department of Mathematics attended the event to support and encourage the presenters. Although the participants had not yet formally declared mathematics as their major, they demonstrated strong enthusiasm for research and actively engaged in academic inquiry, taking their first steps into scholarly exploration.

Held on the final day of classes, the poster presentation offered a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, where attendees could view the posters while enjoying light refreshments. The event concluded as a meaningful occasion that highlighted the students’ early research experiences and fostered communication and encouragement among members of the department.
