On Friday, August 22, 2025, a delegation from East China Normal University (ECNU), Shanghai, visited the Department of Mathematics at POSTECH. The visit aimed to strengthen academic collaboration and foster joint talent development between the two universities.

The ECNU delegation included Professors Zhi, Jia, Li, Luo, Hairong, Yuan, and Sheng, Meng. Representing POSTECH were Professor Jae-Hun, Jung, Head of the Department, along with Professors BoGwang, Jeon and YoungHwan, Son.

As part of the visit, the two universities held an MOU signing ceremony, followed by a Departmental Operating Committee session, specialized research meetings, and an official meeting with POSTECH’s Vice President for External Affairs. In particular, the meeting with the Vice President featured in-depth discussions on future international research collaborations and student exchange programs, which are expected to further expand joint activities.

Through this visit and agreement, POSTECH and ECNU reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing academic cooperation and research exchange, laying the foundation for a stronger partnership between the two institutions.
