The Fargues-Fontaine curve provides a geometric framework for studying the absolute Galois group of a local field. A stunning example is the seminal work of Fargues-Scholze, which establishes a geometric formulation of the local Langlands correspondence using vector bundles on the Fargues-Fontaine curve. This lecture series aims to present a friendly overview of some key ingredients for the work of Fargues-Scholze. It will focus on main statements and key ideas, often accompanied with concrete examples.
