Title: Problems in parabolic dynamical systems

Abstract: A parabolic dynamical system is characterized by the slow (polynomial) divergence of orbits of two close points. Due to a lack of invariant structure, a few typical behaviors are known so far. In the first part of the talk, I will introduce results on the deviation of ergodic integrals for locally Hamiltonian flows and solutions of cohomological equations. Our new developments include a deeper understanding of the asymptotics at singularities (of degenerate type) and the emergence of a new deviation spectrum. In the second part, I will explain some problems on nilmanifolds and related results with future directions. This will include the ongoing work on rigidity problems.
