Title: BSDEs and Reflected BSDEs, Neural Networks, and the Shape of Uncertainty

Abstract:
Backward Stochastic Differential Equations (BSDEs) and their reflected counterparts are central to modern stochastic analysis, with deep ties to nonlinear PDEs, optimal control, and financial mathematics. In this talk, I will present recent theoretical developments in BSDEs and reflected BSDEs, focusing on their elegant structure and interpretive power.What makes this area particularly compelling today is its growing resonance with ideas in artificial intelligence and data science. The backward-forward nature of BSDEs aligns naturally with neural network architectures, while Topological Data Analysis (TDA) offers novel tools to explore the shape and structure of stochastic dynamics.Rather than diving into algorithmic details, this talk aims to highlight the conceptual connections between these domains — and to invite open discussion and future collaboration across probability, geometry, and data-driven modeling.
