Title: Integral of a smooth function on Q_p

Abstract: Due to local-global arguments, integral of a smooth function on Qp is a central object in modern number theory such as the Siegel mass formula, Kudla-Rapoport conjecture, explicit construction of automorphic forms, the Arthur-Selberg trace formula, and so on. The goal of this talk is to introduce a scheme-theoretic method, so-called smoothening. 

Using this, I will explain several formulas of orbital integrals for classical Lie algebras and its arithmetic applications. I will try to organize the talk as easy as possible, so as to be accessible to undergraduate students of the math department. It will be given in Korean.
