|TOPIC||Ill-posedness of the Euler equations in critical Sobolev spaces|
|소개 및 안내사항||In this talk, we deal with the question of local well-posedness of the incompressible Euler equations. Well-posedness theory for the "supercritical" Sobolev spaces is by now standard, and explicit counterexamples are known for the "subcritical" cases. On the contrary, the ill-posedness in the "critical" Sobolev spaces was solved only very recently, by Bourgain and Li using delicate constructions.
We offer a simple "geometric" proof of this ill-posedness result, which is based on a particular hyperbolic flow scenario utilized in the works of Denissov, Kiselev-Sverak, Zlatos, and others.
This is based on a joint work with Tarek Elgindi.
